Ben was not much of a happy camper yesterday, but I figured he was just tired, and laid him down for a few extra naps. Today while playing with him, he bit my finger, and ta-da, there was a tooth! He is doing great today, so maybe it wasn't to tramatic for him!
I did a little experiment today. I have wanted to cut my hair for a while now. . . but haven't been able to hold onto the money long enough to go and get it done. . .So. . . I did it myself! Scary, definately not professional, but I think it looks good. I only cut off about 2-3 inches, so you can't really tell, so I think I am going to try again later today and cut it just a little shorter! (good luck to me!)

Sprinklers
my flower garden! gone for now
As many of you know, our house has been a real fixer-upper, This summer we have been focusing on the front yard. We started by tilling up all the weeds and leveling the dirt. In this process we also procured alot of rocks which we are using in our park-strip. After we leveled it. . . we tilled it again to get some of the areas that needed it again. Then we leveled it again. This week I have been working on digging the trenches for sprinklers. We are conserving money by just running the lines to the hose. Maybe next year we will put in a whole timer system and everything. If we can get the sprinklers in this week, then next week we can plant grass. YAY!

Labor day fun
Labor Day weekend was a fun filled weekend with tons of new experiences for Ben. Todd had work off on monday, and we got to see his family. We went to sunday dinner at Grandma Loertcher's house, and played games with the family. The funnest part was during catch phrase Tad, Todd's brother who recently returned from his mission, tried to describe a training bra. enough said :)
That night all of Todd's brothers and sisters, except Teddy, slept over at our house. The boys love coming to our house cause they get to play xbox. When I woke up at 2:00 am there they were, playing away! On monday we enjoyed breakfast in SLC, then drove up to Heber City to help Todd's parents work on the house they are building. Then at 5:00 we all drove down to Deer Creek Resivour and went BOATING. Ben was asleep when we put him into his lifejacket. It was hilarious to see his face when he realized he couldn't really turn his head much and his hands couldn't reach his mouth. He made do and sucked on the lifejacket while we went tubing, water skiing and wakeboarding. He had a blast watching everyone behind the boat going back and forth, and eventually crashing.

Joys of women and friendship
On Thursday I got the opportunity to go to my Stake Women's Conference, my mom watched Ben while I went with a few ladies in the ward. Sister Okisaki, the first counselor in the General relief society spoke on unity. It was a wonderful talk that helped me find ways to come closer to my Savior without walking out of there feeling like scum
Afterwards we all went out to dinner. About 9 of us went to Costa Vida. It was WONDERFUL to laugh and chat with women without hearing a single negative word spoken. I have never hung out with a group of more than 3-4 women that have done that and it felt great!
