Thank you everyone who have been concerned for Todd and me, my last post was mostly for me to voice my gratitude for finding a new job, almost 50% of our ward here in Sandy is out of work, Many of them have bigger families than ours. We were so grateful to find a new job so quickly because we have seen how hard it is for others to do so. I used to think that we were secure in our job because they laid off 20 other people just a month previously to our termination. Things worked out, and we are truly grateful to have Heavenly Father taking care of us.

The Blessing of Work
On our anniversary we had a turn of events that was fairly unexpected. Todd was laid off from work, and since he quit his other job 2 weeks prior, we were left without an income. Fortunately we have been searching for a new job for quite some time, and we found a new job that we can do together! We are now working for a valley-wide newspaper that is delivered once a month. We will be working three days a week delivering to different areas around the valley. It is nice because we can fold the papers while watching T.V. or just talking, and I plan on helping Todd deliver some newspapers for an hour or two in the afternoon. To have Todd loose his job was really hard for me, but in some ways it was nice to see him a few hours a day while he is home. I love seeing him with Ben and his energy renewed. This new job has been a blessing because I get to see my hubby and we will be able to make enough money for our family in 3 days instead of 6.

Pictures of Ben
Someone told me i need to post more pictures of my little Ben. He isn't very little anymore, but here he is!
He loves the bathtub, he hates it when I take him out, even if he has been in it long enough for the water to get cold.

Anniversary Blessings
Two years and a few days ago, my sister Jeska was in a scooter vs truck battle. She was on the scooter, and unfortunately she lost. She ended up in the hospital with a broken neck and leg and we were all extremely worried for her. Todd, my fiance at the time, was able to give her a preisthood blessing. It was wonderful for me to see that I was marrying a man of the priesthood which was a great comfort to me. Now on our second anniversary, I get to see him use the priesthood again. My next door neighbor had a baby boy last night. Before they went to the hospital Todd was asked to give a blessing to both parents, which he did. Now this morning we have learned that the baby isn't doing well, being full term but only 4 pounds. Todd was again asked to come and give another blessing to their little boy. I am so grateful to have the priesthood in my life, and to have a husband who is worthy and willing to serve the Lord in this manner.

The Table
I am working on a new project! Todd's parents have a table that has been painted white, I am working on restoring it to its natural oak beauty Here is the before picture
The yellow stuff on there is polyeurothene, They used the table to stain and finish all the baseboards in their home, and a bit of it dripped on the top. I have re-finished a table in the past but this one is huge by comparison. It is a gear driven table, so it can be expanded. The table I did as a teenager had only one leaf, this one has four. My goal is to finish it by Thanksgiving, but I know it is kind of a stretch, but I can still try!
